Nvidia Answers!

Recently I posted the crossfire technology of ATI... Well, Nvidea answers the CrossfireX technology of ATI with their own SLI Technology. Same with the crossfire technology, SLI uses two or more graphic cards in a SLI-Certified motherboard.

It works the same as the ATI technology with up to 2.8x the performance of a single graphic cards solution.

In order for SLI To run, your PC needs to be equipped with an SLI-Certified Motherboard and 2 or 3 SLI-Certified GeForce GPUs. It is also recommended that you used an SLI-Certified power supply and chassis for its maximum stability.

SLI Performance chart:

As you can see, the chart shows the performance of the SLI almost 3x the performance of a single graphic card solution.

ATI Crossfire Technology

Also Called as the CrossFireX, a brand name for the ATI technology... This new technology allows you to insert two or more graphic cards into a single computer to enhance the video performance of your PC. This ATI crossfire technology became available on the market since September 2005, and satisfies all gamers for it's high resolution of 3d video.

The system requires a crossfire-compliant motherboard and a pair of ATI Radeon PCI express graphic cards. But the disadvantage is that it needed If an OpenGL game does not have a CrossFire profile, the Catalyst AI system will set the rendering mode to Scissor by default, with no way to change it to a more suitable or faster mode, such as AFR.

3D Gaming Technology

3d gaming has been a perfect past time for gamers... but hey, do you know when, how, and where a 3d technology started?

Here are some facts about the 3d technology, its history, where it came from, and how do they do it...

The first PC 3d technology appeared on 1987 by an American computer-graphics-software company. Back then, it takes time to load a scene file from a disk and hours to render a single frame at video resolution. With a less power, the accelerator had hard time on boosting a 3d images... But now, PCs are more powerful increasing its processing power and can handle a 3d better than in the past.

Though 3d technology has been a useful in graphic designing and architectural applications, it also became a useful tool in video games and other applications.
